Griffin Scott, JD

Griffin Scott is an associate at Sissel Law, where his practice focuses on estate planning and corporate law. He is dedicated to guiding individuals, families, and businesses through pivotal personal and organizational decisions with the precision, discretion, and thoughtful counsel those moments deserve. Griffin strives to serve as a true advisor to his clients—providing steady leadership and advice that is both sophisticated and accessible.

Before joining Sissel Law, Griffin practiced in the Des Moines area, developing a strong foundation across a broad range of civil practice areas, including estate planning, corporate law, commercial litigation, trust and estate litigation, general counsel services, creditor rights, and real estate transactions. This diverse background allows him to approach each matter with a multifaceted perspective and an ability to anticipate issues that others might overlook.

Griffin earned his Juris Doctor from Drake University Law School in 2022 and Bachelor of Arts degrees in Finance and Economics from the University of Northern Iowa in 2019. His longstanding interest in personal finance, investments, and business strategy naturally led him to a career in estate planning and corporate practice, where he helps clients protect, grow, and transition wealth with intention.

Originally from the Quad Cities area (Park View, Iowa), Griffin has called the Des Moines metro home since 2019. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, golfing, and keeping up with the NFL and Iowa’s college teams.
